These microphones have super-cardioid pick-up to offer a 'high side and rear rejection' and an acceptance angle the same as a first-order cardioid at +/-60 degrees off centre.
There are two capsules available, 4018V and 4018VL. Each model is available in a handheld microphone, for use with cables, or combined with an adapter for use with popular wireless transmitter types. Because of the modular design, each microphone can be reconfigured as required by the engineer or event.
Capsule only adapter types
SL1 adapters are compatible with selected Shure, Sony, and Lectrosonics wireless transmitters.
WI2 adapters are compatible with selected Wisycom wireless transmitters.
SE2-ew adapters are compatible with Sennheiser 2000/6000/9000 series wireless transmitters, along with Evolution series and D1 series.
4018V Capsule
This version of the pre-polarised condenser capsule has a 'soft-boost' of 3dB at 12kHz, with a frequency range of 100Hz - 16kHz, +/-2dB at a distance of 120mm, sensitivity of 5mV/Pa, -46dB referred to 1V/Pa. It has a dynamic range of 120dB, typical, and a maximum sound level of 160dB SPL before clipping. For optimum performance the microphone should be provided with +48V phantom power, +/-4V.
Frequency response: 20Hz -20kHz. Sensitivity (+/-3dB at 1kHz): 5mV/Pa, -46dB re 1V/Pa. Equivalent noise level: 19dB(A) typical. Dynamic range: 120dB. Maximum SPL: 160dB. Output impedance: 100ohms. Required power: +48V. Dimensions (LxD): 205 x 52mm, handheld. Weight: 309g.
